A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly (Missionary Work), Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent (January).
Because our main focus this year is improving our reverence at church, during FHE, and family scripture study, we are starting off the year with:
January: Reverence
Grant the Ant is Rever-ANT: My 5 year old loved acting out this story. I read the script and he did the actions with our minimal props (pillow, doll in chair that he gets to kick over, his daddy's tie, and then I printed out the Reverant Grant the Ant and the disobedient ant and had him wear them as signs using yarn to hang around his neck...I felt antennae headband that made it extra adorable. The other 4 kids were quite captivated and we all laughed :).
